The next installment in Hallmark Movies & Mysteries series of Aurora Teagarden premieres Sunday, May 21, and at first it had us a little confused.
Titled “A Bundle of Trouble”, we were racking our brains for memories of a novel by that name. Then we checked online. Nope, there is no Aurora Teagarden novel titled “A Bundle of Trouble.” Could this be the first original Aurora Teagarden movie? But enlightenment arrived when we read the official synopsis for this movie:
Librarian and passionate mystery fan Aurora Teagarden (Candace Cameron Bure) can’t seem to avoid murder no matter how hard she tries and this time the dead man shows up right on her front porch. After agreeing to host her beau Martin’s long-lost niece and her newborn for the night, trouble begins almost immediately when the girl disappears, the baby is found hidden in the bathtub, and Aurora discovers a stranger in her linen closet, along with $10,000 cash in a diaper bag. With her usual determination, Roe sets out to crack the case, this time while playing surrogate mother to a mysteriously abandoned two-week old, and trying to avoid the ire of Lawrenceton’s new police chief.
Martin’s niece? An abandoned newborn? Random cash in the diaper bag? That all sounded familiar. In fact, this movie is an adaptation of A Fool and His Honey, the sixth novel in the Aurora Teagarden series. So get ready for Roe (Candace Cameron Bure) and Martin (Yannick Bisson) as psuedo-parents as they try to solve the latest murder to strike their small town.
A Bundle of Trouble: An Aurora Teagarden Mystery premieres Sunday, May 21 at 9/8c on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.
The fourth Aurora Teagarden movie, The Julius House, premieres Sunday, October 16 at 9/8c on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. Hallmark released a bunch of promo photos to whet our appetites as we get our first look at Roe’s new – haunted? – house.
Charlaine Harris is returning to her mystery roots with the first new Aurora Teagarden novel in more than a decade! All the Little Liars, the ninth book in the Aurora Teagarden series, is due October 4, 2016. (Click here to pre-order.)
Aurora Teagarden is basking in the news of her pregnancy when disaster strikes her small Georgia town: four kids vanish from the school soccer field in an afternoon. Aurora’s 15-year-old brother Phillip is one of them. Also gone are two of his friends, and an 11-year-old girl who was just hoping to get a ride home from soccer practice. And then there’s an even worse discovery—at the kids’ last known destination, a dead body.
While the local police and sheriff’s department comb the county for the missing kids and interview everyone even remotely involved, Aurora and her new husband, true crime writer Robin Crusoe, begin their own investigation. Could the death and kidnappings have anything to do with a group of bullies at the middle school? Is Phillip’s disappearance related to Aurora’s father’s gambling debts? Or is Phillip himself, new to town and an unknown quantity, responsible for taking the other children? But regardless of the reason, as the days go by, the most important questions remain. Are the kids still alive? Who could be concealing them? Where could they be?
With Christmas approaching, Aurora is determined to find her brother…if he’s still alive.
Roe fans, rejoice! The third Aurora Teagarden movie is set to debut on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries on Sunday, June 12 at 9/8c!
Based on the novel of the same name, Three Bedrooms, One Corpse has Roe investigating murders connected to the art world even has her love life heats up. And not only do we have the official synopsis, we have photos of Roe’s new suitor below.
Gathering clues and examining evidence, Aurora discovers that a valuable painting has been stolen from the open house. When a second realtor turns up murdered in another home for sale, Aurora compiles a list of suspects connected to the town’s real estate scene, narrowing it down to those with an interest in the art world. As Martin becomes increasingly attracted to Aurora, mounting evidence has the police and Aurora looking at him as their main suspect.
But, as her investigation unfolds, Aurora has other ideas. When her best friend, a local newspaper reporter, disappears, the librarian – turned – sleuth must race to rescue her from danger, solve the crime and bring the real killer to justice. And she just might find romance along the way.
Tune in Sunday, June 12 at 9/8c for the premiere of Three Bedrooms, One Corpse on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.
Hallmark Movies & Mysteries released a ton of new promo photos for the upcoming Aurora Teagarden: Real Murders, premiering Sunday, July 26 at 9/8c. The next installment in the Aurora Teagarden murder mystery movies, Real Murders, will premiere Sunday, July 26 at 9/8c on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. Candace Cameron Bure returns as Aurora along with Marilu Henner who plays her mother.
Fans of the Aurora Teagarden books by author Charlaine Harris probably noticed that Real Murders is actually the first in the series while A Bone to Pick is the second. However, the network seemed to feel that the plot from A Bone to Pick introduced us to the characters and town better, so they produced that movie first.
A mystery hits close to home for Aurora Teagarden (Bure) when a member of the Real Murders Club she presides over is found dead. Aurora realizes the crime mirrors a case discussed by the club and fears that one of her members could either be the next target or even the murderer! Much to the chagrin of her protective mother, Aida (Henner), Aurora investigates this murder and the killing spree that follows with the help of visiting mystery writer – and love interest – Robin Daniels (Dunne). Aurora must use her sleuthing skills to solve the mystery before she, herself, is targeted for real murder.
The first Aurora Teagarden Mystery, A Bone to Pick, was scheduled to debut on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries on January 11, but we’ve just received word that the movie has been delayed.
According to an updated January schedule from the network, A Bone to Pick, introducing Candace Cameron Bure as the intrepid Southern librarian, will now air in Spring 2015. No explanation was provided, but the other original movie scheduled to premiere that weekend, A Gift of Miracles starring Rachel Boston, has also been moved to a later date.
As soon as we have additional details, we’ll let you know!
Last month we posted the news that Charlaine Harris’ Aurora Teagarden mystery series was being adapted into a series of TV movies for The Hallmark Channel, starring Candace Cameron Bure as Roe. Apparently some loose ends needed to be tied up before the official announcement could be made, but now The Hollywood Reporter has the “exclusive” (ahem) news about the upcoming movie series.
Details like the premiere date, which book the movies will start with, and even how many movies there will be have not yet been released. Stick with us, though, as we continue to cover this project!
Author Charlaine Harris announced via Facebook that The Hallmark Channel is adapting her first series, the Aurora Teagarden Mysteries, into a series of two-hour movies.
Exciting news. The Aurora Teagarden books, my first mystery series, are being adapted for the Hallmark Channel as a series of two-hour movies. Candace Cameron Bure is attached. Couldn’t be a bigger contrast to HBO, right? I’m really looking forward to the process, and I’ll be posting when I know dates and the title of the series.
This fansite will follow the movies from development to production to premiere and beyond!
